In this clip, we see a new continuity in film editing which causes a new cinematic effect. This movie is dramatic without action but the purpose of this character speaking to the viewer whilst the drama is ongoing in the background creates a comedic effect. The post-continuity generates a new form of sensibility. We can argue that the character which is bringing his point in by exaggerating and introducing his ‘sidekick’ is liberated liberate as it complies with the notion of continuity because it must be an exaggerated cinematic effect as it is showing everything in real-time. Whilst watching this movie the story felt continuous to me, Steven Shaviro argues that even editing/cutting scenes are the post continuity, whilst Gonnard was someone who filmed without jump cuts for the classical continuity editing.  

The pre-continuity model has been abandoned in this audiovisual media, and the technology and aesthetic shifted go hand in hand. The camera has a new cinematic effect which allows the viewer to focus on one person and blur out the groups of people and the background, this is also available in new iPhones as a new way to create continuous sequences for filming or even better vlogging. A big and fast-rising YouTuber Ryan Trahan has started adding scenes using this visual effect and he has cut it into his vlogs which are part of challenges, he attempts a challenge such as raising money for charity but makes the whole journey feel continuous which could also be called post continuity due the modernization of amateur or individual recordings. Leading on we can think how cinema has become more than just one form, as it started as people in a town having to gather around once in a blue moon to see a projection of a movie.
