Amidst the digital revolution, the expression of creativity is, by all means, no exception, as it has been reshaped by the technological and social means of the digital environment. Platforms such as YouTube allows users to share the process and results of their creative activities online. DIY videos may span a broad range of topics including home life, crafting, fashion, and style, making and tinkering with computers, etc.
YouTube is a platform to upload, watch and explore video content. From this premise, a diverse culture of creating gradually evolved. DIY videos on YouTube have become a particularly fruitful source for creative learning for all ages. Every different video category depicts a sort of creativity, which further aims to attract a specific target audience.
DIY videos have become a constant in today’s day and age – from making your own paper flowers to changing a tire. People seek answers for various daily tasks on YouTube, and in many ways, it also provides a sort of comfort in knowing you are not the only person wondering how to do it yourself.
My favorite do-it-yourself videos are from the creator ‘Dad, how do I?’, Rob Kenney became the internet dad on YouTube where he puts content around daily things you might need help with, which could be simple tasks such as how to tie a tie or how to budget your everyday life. There are many everyday life things we would be struggling to do and as always you would search on YouTube for answers.

YouTube platform has shifted the dynamic of DIY projects from a more sophisticated audience to an economically diverse one. Furthermore, the DIY videos on YouTube have created a sense of unity and belonging amongst the audience thereby, making these videos unique and helpful at the same time.
