The sadness in the eyes of straight women: what Trans TV has brought to us in the post-cinema era

As a cisgender woman, Stephen mentioned that the identity and awareness of Goddard and Hogg are all from the perspective of their own cisgender. In order to really study this kind of transgender TV, they agree that our ideology should be a vacuum. By “transifying” our way of viewing, breaking through the traditional narrow understanding of “real” or “good” transgender representation, and influencing and reshaping society’s perspective and cognitive style on a deeper level. (Stephen L., 2020, p221). Therefore, we use these complex ideologies to see how distributed television progresses with each other in the equally complex concept of post-cinema? (You can also view the author’s article here for more details on the unique properties of Internet distributed TV. Netflix has set a good precedent. Their subscription model breaks the traditional advertising-funded funding model, thereby encouraging more free and diverse expression and expanding the audience’s voice. Amanda also mentioned in her own portal theory that the interaction they strive to establish makes viewing easier and the attention can be better focused on the content. (Lotz, 2017)
At the same time, is there deviant behavior in this new model? Does this model’s precise push of relevant content exacerbate stereotypes? The answer here is vague, but what we can do is to understand this development trend. People feel confused about their gender today, why not seek some new possibilities? Trans TV has expanded new audiences and gained more exposure in the world. Even if you are not their group, you can still understand their current situation through excellent film and television works and expand your knowledge and feelings. More exposure also helps desensitize people in straight society, for example: early women are demanding equal pay for equal work, and we need to give double the care and more space to close the huge gap that already exists between us.
What can the current status of more spaces bring to the LGBTQ+ community? In the long tail theory, when people see the needs of this niche, it will definitely expand its actual audience scope, and at the same time, it will increase more employment opportunities, truly help the niche group, and have fewer strange gazes and more rights to speak. (Anderson, 2006)
We come to understand Trans TV as a new topic, which brings us more thoughts on aesthetics. The TV series Euphoria’s entanglement about the flow of gender cognition is combined with the setting of each scene.
We can see that whether it is a bold style in fashion or simple, from the perspective of film and television aesthetics, these Trans TV series are successful. I think that no matter what gender we are, as human beings, we have the same feelings for each other. The significance of the post-cinema era is that even if we use different creative methods, even if there are significant differences between the works, emotions will always be the bridge of communication, but we see each other trapped in a body that does not belong to them, we can also sympathize with and understand their sadness, which is why so many scholars are encouraged to explore this new topic. This is not just an angle, it is the confusion of more people. By developing this topic, at least we can help them in the future. Light a light in the unknown wilderness.
